The invention relates to a large-span double-curved-surface tree-shadow-shaped ceiling structure and a construction method thereof. The construction method includes: constructing a base according to a position determined by positioned paying-off; starting area division of the ceiling structure through an ellipsoidal edge; performing construction section division on a construction area clockwise; sequentially assembling single ceilings inwards from the edge of the ellipsoidal ceiling structure, supporting the single ceilings at the edge on the base, and hoisting the rest single ceilings on a structure body; hoisting a decorating component below the ceiling structure which is assembled well, wherein the decorating component is mounted in a manner of radiating from the ellipsoidal center to four sides. The single ceilings are assembled inwards from the edge of a dome, mounting of a next construction area is performed after mounting of one construction area is completed, and a closed stable space structure is formed after mounting of each construction area is completed, so that accumulated errors can be reduced, local load concentration can be avoided, and the ceiling structure has high stability.
