The invention discloses waterproof tile pasting mortar which is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: a formula shown in the description. The additive is a modifying agent and a thickening agent; the modifying is one of or a mixture of more of cellulose ether, an air entraining agent and a water reducer. By effectively using a large amount of tailing sand and coal ash formed by residues discharged after mineral separation or smelting and industrial waste materials, the cost is greatly lowered, and moreover, green and pollution-free component proportioning is realized, the usage amount of natural yellow sand is reduced, and the interface mortar binding property and the air content are increased by virtue of one of or the mixture of more of cellulose ether, the air entraining agent and the water reducer.
