The invention relates to a urban road construction method, which comprises the following steps: firstly, constructing a soil roadbed, and tamping the roadbed of the road so as to build a solid foundation for the construction of the road; then, constructing a cement lime soil base layer such that the influence of underground water level rising and falling on the road is reduced; then, constructinga cement stabilized macadam base layer which can diffuse vehicle loads borne by the road surface to the roadbed in a balanced mode and has good water filtering performance such that accumulated waterof the roadbed can be reduced and therefore the bearing capacity of the road is improved; then, constructing the asphalt concrete pavement such that after construction is completed, the asphalt concrete pavement has good flatness, so that driving is stable and comfortable, and noise is low; and finally, intalling side gutter aprons to provide drainage for the sidewalk and the road surface, protectthe edge of the road surface, and separate the sidewalk from the roadway, thereby ensuring the safety of pedestrians. The method has the effects that the construction method is perfect and the service life of the road is prolonged.
