The invention belongs to the technical field of environmental protection equipment, and particularly relates to a steering mechanism for a water surface garbage clearing ship and side end pipes. The steering mechanism comprises an outer barrel, an inner barrel, a first steering engine, flow dividing pipes, the side end pipes and a second steering engine; the opening end of the outer barrel is coaxially and fixedly connected to the rear end of a flow guiding pipe; the sealed ends of the outer barrel and the inner barrel are correspondingly provided with a plurality of main rear jet flow holes;the inner barrel is connected with the first steering engine; the two sides of the outer barrel are each connected with one flow dividing pipe; the two side end pipes are arranged on the two sides ofthe clearing ship in parallel; the two side end pipes are each connected with one flow dividing pipe; and the turning radius of the clearing ship can be reduced. Each side end pipe of the steering mechanism comprises a side outer barrel and a side inner barrel which are each provided with a front jet flow hole, a side front jet flow hole, a side rear jet flow hole and an auxiliary rear jet flow hole; and the clearing ship can turn in site, horizontally move and retreat for movement, so that the clearing ship is more flexible, and the clearing efficiency is improved.
