The invention provides a non-motor vehicle traffic optimization system for an urban road section. The non-motor vehicle traffic optimization system comprises a non-motor vehicle lane, a parking unit,a waiting unit and a non-motor vehicle street-crossing channel. The special road surface suitable for non-motor vehicles to pass across is arranged on the non-motor vehicle lane, so that the road right of the non-motor vehicles can be determined, and the traffic participants can be reminded clearly. The parking unit comprises motor vehicle parking spaces and non-motor vehicle parking points, and the motor vehicle parking spaces serve as motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle isolation belts to achieve motor vehicle on-road parking. The non-motor vehicle parking points are arranged on the green belt between the non-motor vehicle lane and the sidewalk, non-motor vehicle parking is achieved, interlacing conflicts between non-motor vehicles and motor vehicle paths and pedestrian paths are reduced, and safe and orderly operation of road traffic participants in different modes is guaranteed. The waiting unit comprises a non-motor vehicle and pedestrian waiting area and a kerb extending area, and the kerb extending area has warning and inducing effects and can effectively organize traffic flow, guide roads and guarantee traffic safety.
