The invention provides a building with a base damping structure. The building comprises a building body, damping supports arranged below the building body, a bearing base arranged below the damping supports, shock isolation devices evenly arranged below the bearing base, a foundation table arranged below the shock isolation devices and damping rods arranged between the damping supports, wherein the building body is of a frame structure with corners and composed of vertically-arranged stand columns and horizontally-arranged cross beams, and the stand columns are not arranged at the corners of the building body; each damping support comprises a vertical column, a first inclined supporting column and a second inclined supporting column; the vertical columns are spaced by one stand column andextend downwards from the stand columns; the first inclined supporting columns obliquely extend from the stand columns not provided with the vertical columns to the left side and the right side of thelower portion; and the second inclined supporting columns are close to the tops of the vertical columns at the corners of the building body and extend to the bottoms of the corners of the damping supports. The problems that the shear failure resistance of a building base to an earthquake is poor, and the damping effect is poor are solved.
