The invention discloses a composite shale brick. The composite shale brick comprises a supporting layer, insulating layers and basic layers. The supporting layer is located at a middle part, the insulating layers are arranged on the upper and lower sides of the supporting layer, the basic layers are arranged on the upper and lower sides of each insulating layer, the supporting layer is of a hollowstructure, a plurality of supporting bodies are arranged in the supporting layer, and the insulating layers are of honeycomb structures. Based on functions of a conventional shale brick, the composite shale brick also has the characteristics of being insulating, light in weight and high in mechanical strength.
