The ceramsite is prepared from, by weight, 30-60 parts of building spoil, 20-40 parts of fly ash, 15-30 parts of granite tailing powder, 5-15 parts of glass powder, 1-3 parts of a foaming agent and 2-5 parts of a fluxing agent through high-temperature firing with biological coal as fuel. Compared with the prior art, the building spoil is recycled, the use of clay is reduced, and the biological coal prepared from biological raw materials is used as a heating source, so that the consumption of electric energy and fossil energy can be greatly reduced, and the cost can be reduced.
