The invention provides a laying mechanism and a laying method of a stretching type stage, and belongs to the technical field of props for performance. The mechanism comprises a carpet (61), a carpet coiling block (62) and a laying motor (63). One end of the carpet (61) is fixedly connected with the stretching end of a stage plate chain, the other end of the carpet (61) is wound around a stage plate storage cavity (5) from the upper portion and then wound around the carpet coiling block (62), and a rotary shaft of the carpet coiling block (62) is connected with the laying motor (63) through a belt. The method includes the steps that when the stretching table is laid, the stage plate chain is pulled out of a main stage, meanwhile, the stretching end of the stage plate chain pulls the carpet(61), the carpet (61) is reeled out of the carpet coiling block (62), the carpet is wound around the upper portion of the stage plate storage cavity and then laid on the upper surface of a stage plate(1), and the carpet (61) is laid on the top of the stage plate (1) while the stretching table is built. The mechanism and the method are used for the stretching type stage.
