The construction method comprises the following steps that step1, an islandmatrix part and a water blocking barrier part in the artificial island are divided; step2, the permeability coefficient of the island matrix part and the permeability coefficient and the thickness ofthe water blocking barrier part are designed; step3, the depth of the water blocking barrier part is confirmed according to the permeability coefficient and the thickness value of the water blockingbarrier part; step4, an artificial blow-filling island area is delineated, and an island foundation is blow-filled; step5, a construction cofferdam is set, and the water blocking barrier part of the double-domain island is formed by utilizing the construction cofferdam; and step6, the island matrix part is blow-filled by utilizing local sea sand to form the artificial double-domain structure island. Firstly, by means of the artificial double-domain island, the island fresh water reserve can be increased, furthermore, the investment cost is not much higher than that of homogeneous islands, therefore, the construction method for the artificial double-domain island for increasing the fresh water reserve has high popularization and application value.
