The invention provides a connection device and a connection method for axial connection for two rod elements. The connection device for axial connection for the two rod elements comprises a hollow sleeve, a first rod element and a second rod element, wherein the hollow sleeve is provided with an axially-penetrating through hole, and a left internal thread and a right internal thread are formed onthe inner-diameter surfaces of two opposite ends separately; a left external thread is formed at one end of the first rod element; a right external thread is formed at one end of the second rod element; the left external thread and the right external thread are spirally combined onto the left internal thread and the right internal thread correspondingly; according to the device, an unthreaded section can be formed in the hollow sleeve, or a gasket can be provided and axially arranged in the through hole of the hollow sleeve, and the hollow sleeve is rotated to drive the first rod element and the second rod element to move towards the mutually opposite directions simultaneously until the end parts of the first rod element and the second rod element are abutted against the gasket; or, an unthreaded projection end is formed on the end part of one of the first rod element and the second rod element, and the hollow sleeve is rotated until the projection end is abutted against the end part of the other rod element.
