The invention discloses a damping amplifier capable of enhancing the damping effect of a building structure. The damping amplifier is composed of first to fourth connecting rods made of mild steel, adamper, a left supporting rod and a right supporting rod, the first connecting rod, the second connecting rod, the third connecting rod and the fourth connecting rod are connected with an upper jointplate, a lower joint plate, a left joint plate and a right joint plate through bolts in a paired mode correspondingly to form a rhombus, and one end of the left supporting rod and one end of the rightsupporting rod are fixed to a building through bolts correspondingly. According to the damping amplifier, the characteristic that by controlling the length of the long axis diagonal line of the rhombus, a required damping amplification coefficient is obtained is achieved, a large amount of earthquake energy can be consumed, and therefore the purpose of permanently enhancing the damping effect isachieved; and according to the rhombic structural form of the damping amplifier, the key to amplify the damping of the damper is to control the length of the long axis diagonal line of the rhombic structural form.
