Silicon carbide reinforced boron carbide-based ceramic material and preparation method thereof
The invention discloses a silicon carbide reinforced boron carbide-based ceramic material and a preparation method thereof. Boron carbide and silicon carbide are used as raw materials, a mixture of Al2O3 and Y2O3 is used as a sintering aid, and the B4C-SiC composite ceramic material is obtained by mixing, ball-milling, drying, sieving, loading into a mold, and sintering in a nitrogen atmosphere atthe temperature of 1850-1950 DEG C and the pressure of 35 MPa-45 MPa. The nano SiC particles can be uniformly distributed in a matrix of the B4C-SiC composite ceramic material through ball milling; the density of the B4C-SiC composite ceramic material is effectively improved, nitrogen protection is added in the sintering process, it can be effectively avoided that the density of the material is reduced due to the fact that powder is oxidized and oxygen is generated, and the performance of the material is improved.
本发明公开一种碳化硅增强碳化硼基陶瓷材料及其制备方法,采用碳化硼和碳化硅作为原料,AlO和YO混合物为烧结助剂,经混合球磨后干燥过筛,装入模具,在氮气气氛,温度1850‑1950℃,在压力35MPa‑45MPa的条件下烧结,得到BC‑SiC复合陶瓷材料。其中纳米SiC颗粒通过球磨可以均匀的分布在BC‑SiC复合陶瓷材料的基体当中,有效地提高BC‑SiC复合陶瓷材料的致密度,而且在烧结过程中加入氮气保护也能有效的防止粉料被氧化而产生氧气降低对材料的致密度,提高材料的性能。
