The invention discloses an excavator electro-hydraulic control system and method, and relates to the technical field of excavator control. The excavator electro-hydraulic control system and method involves a variable driving device, an electro-hydraulic control device and an execution device; the electro-hydraulic control device comprises an oil return passage, at least one main pressure oil passage and multiple working oil port control units; the variable driving device is used for supplying liquid to the main pressure oil passages; an oil return control valve is arranged between the oil return passage and each main pressure oil passage; and oil inlets of the working oil port control units communicate with the main pressure oil passages, and the working oil port control units are used forcontrolling connection and disconnection of oil passages between the main pressure oil passages and the execution device and controlling connection and disconnection of an oil passage between the same load port of the execution device and the oil return passage. According to the excavator electro-hydraulic control system and method, the technical problems of complex structure, high cost and pooruniversality of an excavator hydraulic control system in the prior art are solved to a certain extent.
