The invention discloses a gypsum calcining furnace. A gas inlet cavity is formed in the lower portion of a furnace body; a gas inlet communicated with the gas inlet cavity is formed in the furnace body; a calcining area is arranged in the furnace body; a heating pipe is arranged in the calcining area; a rotating shaft is arranged between the central position of a gas distribution plate and a lowerend plate; a deslagging seam is formed in the gas distribution plate; a slag scraping plate and a baffle are arranged on the rotating shaft; a driving wheel is arranged on the rotating shaft; inner gear teeth are arranged at the edge of the baffle; an intermediate gear in engaged transmission with the inner gear teeth is arranged between the outer edge of the baffle and the driving wheel; one part of the driving wheel is convexly provided with driving teeth which are matched with the intermediate gear for transmission and enable the baffle to deviate from the slag discharging seam when the slag scraping plate rotates to the slag discharging seam; a spring structure for resetting the baffle to a position for shielding the deslagging seam after the driving gear is separated from the gear teeth of the intermediate gear is arranged between the gas distribution plate and the baffle; and the gas distribution plate is provided with a baffle edge for positioning the baffle. Accumulation can be prevented from influencing gas intake, slag can be discharged into the gas inlet cavity, and continuous production can be realized.
