The invention relates to a glass curtain wall mounting structure and mounting method. The structure comprises a glass body, a frame, vertical keels, transverse keels, multiple mounting components pre-buried in a building wall and connecting pieces used for connecting the frame and the keels, and the two ends of the vertical keels and the two ends of the transverse keels are fixedly arranged on themounting components; the connecting pieces are divided into the movable connecting pieces and the fixed connecting pieces; and the movable connecting pieces comprise translation window openers and stretch-out and draw-back frames, and the frame is connected with the transverse keels and the vertical keels through the translation window openers and the stretch-out and draw-back frames. According to the structure and method, by means of the prefabricated keels, a prefabricated glass curtain wall and the mounting components pre-buried in the building wall, the mounting process is simplified, andthe construction time is shortened; the glass curtain wall is arranged on the transverse keels and the vertical keels through the fixed connecting pieces and the movable connecting pieces respectively according to different positions of the glass curtain wall; and the movable connecting pieces adopt the stretch-out and draw-back frames for bearing, and the translation window openers are used foropening a window, so that the high-altitude object falling risk and the personal danger generated in the window opening process are avoided.
