The system comprises a gate opening and closing unit, an overflow well, a confluence pipe channel and a sewage intercepting pipe, wherein the confluence pipe channel and the sewage intercepting pipe are in communication with the overflow well; an overflow wall is fixedly arranged in the overflow well and divides thebottom of the overflow well into a confluence chamber and a rainwater chamber; an overflow water level adjusting plate is movably arranged on the overflow wall; and the gate opening and closing unit comprises a bottom plate, a crank arm, a gate, a balance block and a floating ball. According to the design, a power supply is not needed, maintenance is not needed, and the system operation cost is greatly reduced; the blank of a domestic unpowered automatic gate opening and closing system with a perfect sewage intercepting and overflowing function is filled; the system not only can be applied tothe project of additionally arranging the sewage pipeline during rainwater and sewage diversion of urban rainwater and sewage pipe network transformation, but also can be applied to the sewage pipeline with a built sewage pipe but without thorough diversion of a sewage source, and the functions of sewage interception and rainwater overflow are added.
