The invention discloses a residential area access control system for preventing foreign personnel from entering. The access control system comprises an access control system body and a detection cavity in the access control system body. A threaded groove is formed in the bottom wall of the detection cavity; a threaded rod is rotationally arranged on the threaded groove; a long gear is fixedly arranged on the threaded rod; a first push plate is fixedly arranged on the threaded rod; a gear shaft is rotationally arranged on the top wall of the detection cavity; a first gear meshed with the long gear is fixedly arranged on the gear shaft; a first bevel gear is fixedly arranged on the gear shaft; and a first gear shaft is rotationally arranged on the rear wall of the detection cavity. The beneficial effects of the invention are that the device can automatically detect whether a person leaves or enters a residential area so as to control a gate, can close the gate after the person in the residential area leaves, and can automatically close the gate to prevent the foreign personnel from entering the residential area when the foreign personnel want to enter the residential area in advance,thereby reducing the risk.
