The invention provides a method for improving concrete strength. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) weighing raw materials including cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, water and admixtures; (2) preparing slurry: adding the cement and the admixtures into a concrete stirrer in sequence to be evenly stirred, and then, adding half of water to be mixed into even slurry; and (3) adding the coarse aggregate and the fine aggregate into the slurry, meanwhile, slowly adding a residual quantity of water, and continuously evenly stirring, wherein the admixtures include the following raw materials: coal ash, silica fume and slag powders. The method has the beneficial effect of improving the concrete strength, and is suitable for the field of concrete preparation.
