The invention discloses a road deceleration strip and overspeed snapshot mechanism comprising a placement block. A placement cavity is formed in the placement block; a speed sensing mechanism is arranged in the placement cavity; the speed sensing mechanism comprises a swing rod fixing block fixedly connected with the inner wall of the lower side of the placement cavity; the swing rod fixing blockis provided with a swing rod rotating shaft which is rotatably connected with the swing rod fixing block; the swing rod rotating shaft is provided with a swing rod torsion spring which is fixedly connected with the swing rod rotating shaft; the swing rod rotating shaft is provided with a swing rod which is fixedly connected with the swing rod rotating shaft. According to the invention, the deceleration strip can be started according to the vehicle speed; whether the deceleration strip is started or not is judged according to the time when the front wheel and the rear wheel pass through the device; when the vehicle speed is too high, the deceleration strip is started, a driver is reminded to decelerate through the psychological effect of the deceleration strip on people; meanwhile, monitoring is started at the same time after the deceleration strip is started to capture overspeed vehicles.
