The invention relates to a construction method for treating a soft soil foundation of a hydraulic reclamation project. The construction method comprises the following steps of (1) site elevation measurement and paying-off, (2) excavation of a temporary drainage ditch, (3) disturbance and rolling compaction, (4) site airing and drainage, (5) establishment of a drainage system, (6) arrangement of light well points, (7) precipitation, (8) earthwork outward turning and transferring, (9) secondary precipitation through combination of the light well points and a tube well, (10) dynamic compaction, and (11) bearing capacity detection, wherein in the step (3), a backhoe type land and water excavator is adopted to backhoe and be inserted into a soil layer by a certain depth and then shake to applyvibration, and then a land and water excavator or a bulldozer is adopted to roll a construction area in a segmented mode. By means of the construction method, the treatment capacity of the soft soil foundation is improved, the water content of the soft soil foundation is rapidly and effectively reduced, the bearing capacity of the soft soil foundation is improved, and smooth proceeding of subsequent construction is guaranteed.
