The invention belongs to the field of household garbage treatment and rotary cement kiln cooperation, and particularly relates to a technical method for reducing nitrogen of a rotary cement kiln by using household garbage RDF. The method comprises the steps of dehydration, crushing, decomposition, denitration and gas detection and emission. Equipment used in the method comprises an RDF feed port,a cylinder dryer, a garbage crusher, a feeder, a cement feed port, an air inlet valve, a decomposing furnace, a rotary cement kiln, a discharge port, a gas detector, gas separation equipment, a gas discharge port, a return pipe, a fan and a gas pipeline. According to the method, the characteristic that the household garbage is rich in organic matters and volatile components is utilized, and the household garbage is used as the RDF, so that the dual purposes of replacing part of pulverized coal as fuel and removing NOx in cement kiln flue gas are achieved.
