The invention discloses a construction method of an underground diaphragm wall and a butt joint of the underground diaphragm wall. The construction method comprises the following steps that forward groove sections are formed in an underground structure by digging; first reinforcement cages with guide rail joints at the end parts are arranged in the forward groove sections, and cavities of which the height is higher than or equal to that of the forward groove sections are formed in the guide rail joints; concrete is poured into the portions, except the cavities, of the forward groove sections;backward groove sections adjacent to the forward groove sections are formed in the underground structure by digging after the concrete in the forward groove sections is solidified, and the guide railjoints are vertically cut to enable the cavities to communicate with the backward groove sections; second reinforcement cages of which the end parts are provided with riveting rods are arranged in thebackward groove sections, and anchoring ends of the riveting rods are arranged in the guide rail joints; and concrete is poured into the backward groove sections and the cavities. According to the construction method and the butt joint, the joint waterproof capacity of the underground diaphragm wall is improved, the construction is convenient, and the installation is easy and rapid.
