The invention relates to the technical field of wind power tower cylinders, and discloses a variable-cross-section assembly type wind power tower cylinder which comprises a first cylinder section, a second cylinder section and a third cylinder section which are sequentially connected from top to bottom. One end of the second cylinder section is detachably connected with one end of the first cylinder section, and the other end of the second cylinder section is connected with one end of the third cylinder section; in the direction from the end, connected with the second cylinder section, of thethird cylinder section to the free end of the third cylinder section, the cross section area of the third cylinder section is gradually increased; and a hollow part is arranged on the side wall of thethird cylinder section. According to the variable-cross-section assembly type wind power tower cylinder, the third cylinder section can increase the contact area between the wind power tower cylinderand the ground, the bottom bearing capacity is high, and the overall stability of the wind power tower cylinder is improved; and meanwhile, transportation and installation are easy, convenient and rapid, and workloads of operators are reduced.
