The invention relates to a method for constructing a cofferdam by bagging sandy soil. The method for constructing the cofferdam by bagging the sandy soil comprises the following steps of 1, building atemporary cofferdam: inserting timber piles inserted into the side, facing a riverway, of a river bank to build the temporary cofferdam; 2, excavating river bank sandy soil: excavating the sandy soilon the river bank by adopting an excavator; 3, bagging the sandy soil: packaging the sandy soil into bags; 4, building a cofferdam: backfilling the bagged sandy soil to the river bank; and 5, dismantling the temporary cofferdam: dismantling the timber piles to dismantle the temporary cofferdam. The method for constructing the cofferdam by bagging the sandy soil has the advantages that sandy soilis bagged, the movement space of the sandy soil is limited, and therefore, the loss of the sandy soil is reduced.
