The invention relates to a steel pipe pile static axial bearing capacity detection device and detection method. The device comprises an upper steel pipe joint, a lower steel pipe joint and a controllable deformation load box body, wherein the upper steel pipe joint and the lower steel pipe joint have the same specification; the controllable deformation load box body comprises a top plate, a bottomplate and an outer protection tube; the top plate and the bottom plate are of annular structures; the top plate is fixed in the upper steel pipe joint; the bottom plate is fixed in the outer protection tube; the lower part of the outer wall of the outer protection tube is fixed in the lower steel pipe joint; a plurality of first threaded through holes are formed in the top plate; second threadedthrough holes corresponding to the plurality of first threaded through holes are formed in the bottom plate; the first threaded through holes and the corresponding second threaded through holes are connected through locking screw rods; a plurality of jacks are arranged between the top plate and the bottom plate; and the upper ends of the locking screw rods are detachably connected with displacement measuring rods. The steel pipe pile static axial bearing capacity detection device and detection method have the advantages that the bending moment, the shearing force, the pressure and the pullingforce of a pile body during the pile sinking can be effectively resisted; the top plate and the bottom plate are firmly connected and can be easily separated; the displacement measuring rods can be recovered and repeatedly used; and the detection data is accurate and reliable.
