The invention discloses a sanitation vehicle front spraying frame lifting device and lifting method. The device comprises a connecting base, a lifting mechanism and a front spraying frame; the liftingmechanism is connected to the connecting base, the front spraying frame is connected to the lifting mechanism and driven by the lifting mechanism to ascend and descend, and the device is characterized in that a distance sensor is fixed to the bottom of the front spraying frame; the distance sensor detects the distance between a nozzle on the front spraying frame and the ground in real time and feeds back the distance to the controller, and the controller controls the lifting mechanism to ascend and descend so as to drive the nozzle on the front spraying frame to be adjusted to a preset height. The distance sensor is installed on the front spraying frame installed at the front end of the sanitation truck chassis, the distance sensor senses the ground distance besides manual control over lifting and swinging of the front spraying frame, a feedback signal is transmitted to the controller, and the ground clearance of the front spraying frame is adjusted in the controller according to thefeedback signal value.
