The invention belongs to the field of building materials, and discloses aerated concrete based on the synergistic effect of alkali excitation and accelerated carbonization, which comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 78.8-88.8% of steel slag, 5.9-16.8% of slag, 1.0-4.0% of red mud, 0.3-0.6% of excitant, 0.3-0.8% of additive, 0.7-1.5% of foam stabilizer and 1.0-4.0% of foaming agent. Meanwhile, the invention further discloses a preparation method of the aerated concrete, and aims at overcoming the defects that in the existing technology for preparing the wall material based on the synergistic effect of alkali and chemical carbonization, the self weight of the material is too large, the alkali mixing amount is too high, and the carbonization efficiency is too low. The invention, based on the the synergistic effect of alkali and chemical carbonization, provides the aerated concrete and the preparation method thereof.
