The invention provides efficient algae removal equipment and an algae removal method for water area blue-green algae treatment, and relates to the field of blue-green algae treatment. The efficient algae removal equipment comprises a positioning mechanism and an algae removal mechanism; an external air inlet motor introduces air into an inner cavity of an aeration mechanism, and the air is released into a water body through an aeration vertical pipe, so that the water body enters an active state; in the aeration process, active water is spirally rotated through an adjusting mechanism, blue-green algae are separated from one another in the aeration state and concentrated in vortexes generated by operation of the adjusting mechanism, the blue-green algae gathered in the vortexes are gatheredthrough polymerization force of vortex openings of the vortexes, and in the rotary gathering process, the viscous separation degree of the blue-green algae is increased; and an external air suction motor is connected with a suction mechanism in series, the suction mechanism sucks the blue-green algae gathered in the active water body, the blue-green algae are discharged out of the device throughpenetrated-transverse cylinders arranged at the two ends of the device, the blue-green algae are collected, and the water body enters a riverway again.
