The invention relates to a method for preparing a light microcrystalline stone wall material through polishing powder; the light microcrystalline stone wall material is composed of a heat preservationlayer and a decorative surface layer, and the heat preservation layer is prepared from, by weight, 60-80 parts of microcrystalline powder, 10-30 parts of mineral raw materials and 5-10 parts of chemical raw materials; the decorative surface layer is prepared from the following raw materials, by weight: 80-90 parts of microcrystalline powder, 10-20 parts of a flux raw material and 0.1-5 part of decorative granules, wherein the microcrystalline powder is prepared from the following raw materials, by mass; the polishing powder accounts for 70-90%, the mineral powder accounts for 10-30%, and theingredient powder accounts for 5-15%. After a certain amount of auxiliary materials are prepared from ceramic polishing powder and uniformly mixed, the light microlite which has high compressive strength and surface hardness, good heat preservation performance, extremely high fire resistance and thermal shock resistance and is provided with a decorative surface layer is developed by utilizing a specific preparation process. And the comprehensive performance requirements of energy conservation, environmental protection, high strength and fire prevention in the field of building materials are met.
