The invention discloses a novel ladder for maintenance, which comprises a ladder, a transmission assembly and a transmission plate, and is characterized in that a bearing part is arranged at the bottom of the ladder. A transmission assembly comprises a guide rail arranged on one side of the ladder, an auxiliary rail arranged on the other side of the ladder and a motor part arranged on the guide rail; and a transmission plate comprises a plate body rotationally connected with the motor part, a sliding plate arranged on the auxiliary rail and a connecting part for connecting the plate body withthe sliding plate. According to the novel ladder for overhauling, the ladder can control the wood plate connected with the ladder through the remote control motor, the wood plate can form a platform capable of moving vertically, a small platform is provided for overhauling personnel and used for sitting down for rest and storing tools or transferring the tools to personnel on the ground, and the working efficiency of the overhauling personnel is improved. The working environment is more humanized.
