The invention relates to a basalt composite fiber and an asphalt mixture containing the basalt composite fiber. The basalt composite fiber is composed of the following components in parts by mass: 20-75 parts of basalt fiber and 0-25 parts of lignin fiber. The asphalt mixture comprises the following components in parts by mass: 4-10 parts of an SBS adjuvant, 8-10 parts of a TLA stabilizer, 0.1-3 parts of an adhesive, 5-10 parts of a modifier, 1-1.5 parts of rubber powder and 1000-2500 parts of coarse and fine aggregate. According to a technical scheme in the invention, the basalt fiber, the lignin fiber and other fiber are doped to form the composite fiber, and the composite fiber is added into the asphalt mixture, so the durability of the asphalt mixture can be effectively improved and the service life of a pavement is prolonged; and meanwhile the composite fiber can serve as an independent product to be widely applied to environmental protection, national defense, civil use, trafficconstruction and other fields and has good popularization and application values.
