The automatic pumping device comprises a well, wherein a trigger device is movably installed in the well, and a hanging basket is movably installed in the well and is fixedly installed on the lower part of the cable well through the trigger device. After water is accumulated in the cable well, duckweed is driven to move upwards by the accumulated water, and a metal ball is attracted to move upwards by a U-shaped magnet so as to drive a connecting rod to move upwards, so that a spring is retracted, a touch switch below a sealing plug is touched by a touch rod, a ratchet which is electrically connected with the touch switch is triggered to rotate, and the hangingbasket with a water suction pump is driven to enter the well by a mooring rope. A gear I is triggered to rotate by sensing the change of the water level in the well, the water suction pump enters thewater, a cable is prevented from being soaked in the water for a long time due to the accumulated water in the cable well, the visual field of inspectors is guaranteed, and problems are found in time. Additionally, inconvenience brought to residents and workers due to short circuit of the cable with flaws in the water is avoided.
