The invention discloses municipal road surface cutting equipment. The equipment structurally comprises a cutting box, a handle, a chassis and universal wheels, wherein the right side of the handle isconnected to the left side of the cutting box in a welded mode, an upper surface of the chassis is welded to the bottom of the cutting box, and the universal wheels are connected to the bottom of thechassis through bolts. The equipment is advantaged in that a driver drives a rotating rod to rotate for half a circle, cam extrudes the positioning block downwards, the cutting plate descends to makecontact with the ground, the motor drives the cutter to cut the ground to the needed depth, at the moment, the cam is fixed, the cutting depth of the cutter is not changed, and dust and flying chips are prevented from moving to the upper surface of the separation net along the guide plate due to different depths of cutting seams; and when no dust or flying chips fall off, the baffle is driven to be closed under the elastic force of the limiting spring and the suction force of the suction plate, the dust and the flying chips are prevented from flying back into the cutting box, and pollution tothe external environment is avoided.
