The invention provide an explosion-proof window and an installation method. Corners of the outer-layer glass and the inner-layer glass are protected through protective pads, then sliding plates are limited through sliding blocks and sliding grooves, the sliding plates are prevented from deviating in the left-right moving process, buffering is further conducted between the outer-layer glass and the inner-layer glass through fixing frames and buffering pads, and the explosion-proof effect is improved.
