The invention discloses a fastener without a blocking shoulder. The fastener comprises buckling and pressing assemblies symmetrically arranged on two sides of a steel rail and used for buckling and pressing a shoulder face of the steel rail, wherein the buckling and pressing assembly comprises an iron blocking shoulder detachably connected with the sleeper, an insulating gauge block is arranged between the iron blocking shoulder and the steel rail, the end, facing the steel rail, of the insulating gauge block is buckled and pressed on the shoulder face of the steel rail, and the other end of the insulating gauge block is pressed on the iron blocking shoulder; an elastic strip is detachably installed on the iron retaining shoulder, one end of the elastic strip is tightly pressed on the insulating gauge block, the other end of the elastic strip is tightly pressed on the iron retaining shoulder, and a rail lower cushion plate is arranged between the sleeper and the steel rail. The retaining-shoulder-free fastener can be applied to a ballastless track and a ballast track, is not provided with an iron base plate, is simple in structure, convenient to maintain and repair and low in production and manufacturing cost, facilitates adjustment of the height position of a steel rail, and can achieve switching between a conventional resistance function of the steel rail and a small resistance function of the steel rail by replacing individual parts, and achieve unification of fastener structural forms of a long and large bridge section and a common roadbed section.
