The invention provides a multi-story/high-rise building fire escape refuge room which comprises a room body. Emergency survival equipment is placed in the room body, the room body is defined by non-fireproof/fireproof peripheral side walls, a fireproof top wall and a fireproof bottom wall, non-fireproof/fireproof doors and non-fireproof/fireproof windows are arranged on the peripheral side walls, and when the peripheral side walls are non-fireproof peripheral side walls, fireproof roller shutters/smoke-blocking vertical walls are arranged on the inner sides of the peripheral side walls; when the peripheral side walls are fireproof peripheral side walls, the doors are non-fireproof doors, and the windows are non-fireproof window, fireproof roller shutters/smoke-blocking vertical walls are respectively mounted at the positions, corresponding to the doors and the windows door, of the inner sides of the peripheral side walls; and inner switches and outer switches which are used for controlling the fireproof roller shutters/smoke-blocking vertical walls to ascend and descend are respectively arranged on the inner sides and the outer sides of the peripheral side walls. When a fire disaster occurs and an evacuation channel cannot pass through, people can temporarily hide into the refuge room for refuge so as to wait for rescue or escape by themselves after the fire disaster disappears, and the casualty rate is reduced to the maximum extent.
