The solid polycarboxylate superplasticizer comprises the following components by weight: 800-880 parts of a polymeric macromonomer, 3-5 parts of an initiator, 60-120 parts of a material A, 10-30 parts of a material B, and 4-8 parts of a chain transfer agent, wherein the material A is one or two selected from acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, and the material B is one or two selected from hydroxyethyl acrylate and hydroxypropyl acrylate. The solid polycarboxylate superplasticizer can be prepared under the conditions of common heat and no use of a solvent; and the obtained polycarboxylate superplasticizer has high water-reducing rate and good slump retaining performance, is simple and convenient to package and use, has excellent effect, has no obvious difference with the use effect of traditional liquid polycarboxylic acid mother liquor, is better than common powder products in the market, effectively overcomes the defects of the liquid mother liquor prepared through the traditional process in packaging, storage and transportation and has wide market application prospects.
