The invention belongs to the technical field of bridge equipment, and particularly relates to a shock absorption and compression resistance structure for a bridge which comprises a bridge body, an electromagnetic conversion shock absorption assembly, a damping assembly, a floating load shedding assembly and an energy absorption and shock absorption assembly. The electromagnetic conversion shock absorption assembly comprises multiple sets of electromagnetic vibration adjusting mechanisms, and each set of electromagnetic vibration adjusting mechanism is provided with a first rotating mechanism, a pitching mechanism, an electromagnetic conversion mechanism, an energy storage disc piece, a stabilizing sheet body and a transmission mechanism. The problems that in the prior art, when an earthquake occurs, a bridge floor fluctuates, and fluctuating vibration cannot be converted into electric energy; when a traditional bridge body is used for resisting earthquake, the reason of collapse of the bridge body is overweight, so that the problems of collapse and the like of the bridge body due to overweight load when the bridge body encounters earthquake are caused. According to the invention, the load of the bridge body can be reduced while the shock absorption of the bridge body is realized, so that the effect of protecting the bridge body is achieved.
