The invention relates to a fan cylindrical foundation composed of an underground diaphragm wall and a construction method. The fan cylindrical foundation comprises a reinforced concrete bearing platform and the underground diaphragm wall, wherein the reinforced concrete bearing platform is connected with a fan tower; the underground diaphragm wall is embedded into the bottom face of the reinforced concrete bearing platform and connected with the bottom face of the reinforced concrete bearing platform into a whole; the underground diaphragm wall is in a polygonal cylinder shape; reinforced concrete guide walls playing a role in guiding and fixing during construction are arranged on the inner side and the outer side of the underground diaphragm wall; and the underground diaphragm wall comprises a plurality of unit wall sections which are evenly arranged along the circumference and connected end to end in a closed-loop mode. Compared with the prior art, the problem that undisturbed soil is damaged during heavy excavation or open caisson construction can be avoided, and compared with a conventional pile foundation, the construction period is short, and economical efficiency is good.
