The invention relates to the technical field of pier resistance reducing equipment, in particular to a pier water flow resistance reducing device. The device is characterized in that: a pre-embedded assembly is arranged on the back flow side of a pier, and a fixing plate group is used for fixing rectification cloth and is rotationally connected with the pre-embedded assembly through a supporting rod; the embedded assembly comprises a plurality of arc groove clamping blocks arranged in the vertical direction and an arc groove supporting block arranged at the bottommost portion, and the arc groove supporting block is used for supporting the supporting rod; and the fixing plate group comprises a first fixing plate and a second fixing plate, the first fixing plate and the second fixing plate are mutually pressed, one end of the fixing plate set is connected with the supporting rod, and the rectifying cloth is pressed and fixed by the other end of the fixing plate set through the first fixing plate and the second fixing plate. The rectification cloth is arranged on the back of water flow of the bridge pier, formation of water flow vortex on the back of the bridge pier can be disturbed, and the negative pressure of the back of the bridge pier is adjusted; and the flexible rectification cloth is matched with the fixing plate group to swing at the arc-shaped opening of the arc groove clamping blocks and adapt to the flow direction of the water flow, and therefore the flowing water resistance borne by the bridge pier is reduced.
