The invention discloses a method for efficiently preparing nano boron carbide powder. The preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing a certain amount of a boron source, a carbon source and water according to a certain ratio, controlling the temperature, performing stirring, enabling the uniformly mixed raw materials of the boron source and the carbon source to be subjected to esterification reaction, controlling a certain time until the reaction is complete, evaporating a solvent at a certain temperature to obtain a gelatinous substance, drying the gelatinous substance to obtain a boron carbide precursor, grinding the precursor into fine powder, placing the fine powder in a high-temperature sintering device with protective gas, carrying out degreasing or dehydration reaction to remove organic matters, and controlling the heat preservation time and temperature to finally obtain the nano boron carbide powder. The method overcomes the defects of low purity, low yield, non-uniform powder granularity, large particle size and the like of existing boron carbide preparation processes, and can effectively reduce the production cost of boron carbide and expand the application value of boron carbide in industry.
