The invention discloses a method for preparing boron carbide powder by adopting a vertical smelting device. The method comprises the following steps: S1, weighing a boron source material and a carbon source material; s2, uniformly mixing to obtain a smelting raw material; s3, after a furnace top sealing cover is additionally arranged on the furnace top of the furnace body, a graphite electrode is inserted and makes contact with the bottom plate valve; s4, after the smelting raw materials are loaded into the furnace body, the smelting raw materials are heated; s5, lifting the graphite electrode through an automatic lifting device, and dynamically adjusting the insertion depth of the graphite electrode; s6, the smelting raw materials are heated to 1900-2300 DEG C, and then the boron carbide material can be obtained; s7, taking out through a bottom discharging device; and S8, crushing, grinding, washing, filtering, grading and drying to obtain the boron carbide powder. The method has the advantages of simple process, high heating speed, large-scale production and the like, the product is high in purity, good in crystallinity, uniform in granularity and stable and controllable in quality, and the quality requirement of the engineering ceramic field on the boron carbide powder is met.
一种采用立式冶炼装置制备碳化硼粉体的方法,包括以下方法步骤:S1、称取硼源材料与碳源材料;S2、混合均匀后获得冶炼原料;S3、炉体的炉顶加装炉顶封闭罩后插入石墨电极,并与底板阀接触;S4、将冶炼原料装入炉体后,对冶炼原料进行加热;S5、通过自动升降装置对石墨电极进行提升,动态调整石墨电极的插入深度;S6、将冶炼原料进行加热至1900~2300℃后,即可得到碳化硼材料;S7、通过底部卸料装置取出;S8、破碎研磨,水洗过滤,分级干燥后得到碳化硼粉体。本发明工艺简单,升温速度快,可以规模化生产等优点,且制品纯度高、结晶性好、粒度均匀,并且质量稳定可控制,满足工程陶瓷领域对碳化硼粉体的质量要求。
