The invention relates to the technical field of driving safety, and particularly discloses a cab disinfection system, a disinfection method, a cab and an excavator. The system comprises a life body detection unit which is arranged in a cab and used for detecting whether life bodies exist in the cab or not; a disinfection unit; and a control unit which is connected with the life body detection unit and the disinfection unit and used for controlling the disinfection unit to be started or stopped according to the detection result of the life body by the life body detection unit. By implementing the invention, the potential safety hazard that a driver is accidentally injured when the disinfection unit is turned on and turned off at regular time is eliminated, and the safety of the disinfection system is improved.
