The invention discloses a waterproof construction process and a waterproof layer. The waterproof construction process comprises the steps that a cement base surface is poured and polished to enable fine lines to appear on the surface layer of the cement base surface; a first waterproof layer is sprayed on the surface layer of the cement base surface; after the first waterproof layer is dried and cured, a second waterproof layer is sprayed on the surface layer of the first waterproof layer; and after the second waterproof layer is dried and cured, gridding cloth is laid on the surface layer of the second waterproof layer, and a polymer mortar protective layer is formed on the gridding cloth in a pouring mode. According to the waterproof construction process, the service life of a building, especially a hog house waterproof layer can be prolonged, and the waterproof effect is improved.
