The invention discloses a column base joint for an assembly type subway station and a construction method of the column base joint. The column base joint comprises an upper mortise base, a lower mortise base and a plurality of energy dissipating components; the upper mortise base and the lower mortise base are vertically arranged at intervals, and the multiple energy dissipating components are evenly arranged between the upper mortise base and the lower mortise base; and a tenon-type joint is arranged at the bottom end of a prefabricated column, the upper end of the tenon-type joint is fixed to the bottom end of the prefabricated column, and the lower end of the tenon-type joint sequentially penetrates through the upper mortise base and the lower mortise base. According to the invention, the tenon-type joint is inserted into the mortise base in a penetrating mode, and on an interface of a column bottom and a foundation, rotation constraint of the foundation on the interface of the column bottom is relieved, so that the column bottom can rotate freely; by arranging the energy dissipating components, the energy dissipating components can be yielded earlier than other adjacent components, and the purpose of dissipating earthquake energy is achieved; axial force can be transmitted, the supporting effect is achieved, meanwhile, the earthquake energy can be absorbed, and the efficient anti-seismic effect is achieved; and the column base joint is clear in force transmission and has the characteristic of being replaceable when being damaged by earthquakes.
