An automatic sinking and floating control system and method for a floating access door comprises an access door body and is characterized in that a central water tank is arranged in the center of the bottom in the access door body, and a first side water tank and a second side water tank are arranged on the upper portion of the central water tank on the upstream side and the downstream side in the door body respectively; a first adjusting water tank and a second adjusting water tank are arranged on the two sides of the first side water tank and the two sides of the second side water tank respectively, a central water tank is arranged through an access door body, side water tanks and adjusting water tanks are arranged on the upstream side and the downstream side in the door body respectively, and a valve system is connected with the central water tank, the side water tanks and the adjusting water tanks. The access door can float or sink by adjusting the valve bodies, meanwhile, sinking or floating of the access door can be automatically controlled through a high-low-position floating ball switch in the side water tank, a liquid level meter in the water tank and a main control cabinet, meanwhile, the inclination angle of the door body is detected through an inclination angle sensor, and the opening degree of each valve body is automatically adjusted. The stable state of the door body is achieved, and routine inspection can be carried out on the door body in a routine inspection mode.
