The invention discloses a two-way opening downward-opening type weir gate. The two-way opening downward-opening type weir gate comprises gate columns arranged on the two sides, and an upper hydraulic driving arm and a lower hydraulic driving arm are correspondingly fixed to the top and the middle of each gate column. Lifting sliding grooves are formed in the door columns, a door plate is arranged between the door columns on the two sides, the two side edges of the door plate are inserted into the lifting sliding grooves, and the door plate comprises an upper door plate body and a lower door plate body. The upper hydraulic driving arm is connected with the upper door plate body; the lower hydraulic driving arm is connected with the lower door plate body; an upper connecting plate and a lower connecting plate are correspondingly arranged at the top and the bottom of each door column; top sealing strips are arranged on the inner side faces of the upper connecting plates, and bottom sealing strips are arranged on the inner side faces of the lower connecting plates; and side face sealing strips are arranged on the inner walls of the lifting sliding grooves. By adopting the scheme of the two-way opening downward-opening type weir gate, the total stroke of opening and closing actions of equipment can be reduced, the reaction time of the equipment is shortened, and the requirements on the excavation depth of a lower foundation pit and the soil covering space of the upper part can be reduced.
