The invention relates to a downward-opening type weir gate with a self-adaptive control system. The downward-opening type weir gate comprises a gate plate capable of moving up and down relative to a gate frame, a hydraulic oil cylinder and the self-adaptive control system; the first end of the hydraulic oil cylinder is connected with the gate frame, and the second end of the hydraulic oil cylinder is connected with the gate plate; the self-adaptive control system comprises a linear control device used for controlling the gate plate to move linearly, a first radar liquid level meter, a second radar liquid level meter and a control device; and the first radar liquid level meter is arranged on the inner side of the gate plate, the second radar liquid level meter is arranged on the outer side of the gate plate, the first end of the linear control device is connected with the control end of the hydraulic oil cylinder, and the second end of the linear control device, the first radar liquid level meter and the second radar liquid level meter are connected with the control device. The downward-opening type weir gate can be intelligently controlled through the self-adaptive control system.
