The invention relates to plastering mortar and a preparation method thereof. The plastering mortar comprises the following raw materials in parts by mass: 300-400 parts of cement; 40-50 parts of fly ash; 50-70 parts of sand; 1.5-3 parts of grey wood fiber; 15-20 parts of latex powder; 3-5 parts of cellulose; 2-3 parts of polypropylene fiber; and 1-3 parts of nano whisker. According to the application, the grey wood fibers, the cellulose, the polypropylene fibers and the nanowhiskers are matched so that the plastering mortar has good flexibility while having certain shrinkage resistance.
